UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE SENIOR GENDER EQUALITY NETWORK AND WOMEN’S STAFF NETWORK PRESENT:
UNCOVERING THE GLASS CLIFF: EXAMINING THE PRECARIOUSNESS OF WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP POSITIONS
Professor Michelle Ryan, Social and Organisational Psychology, University of Exeter.
This talk will describe a programme of research examining how women and minority groups gain leadership positions that are associated with a greater risk of failure and criticism. In 2005, this research was short-listed for the Times Higher Education Supplement Research Project of the Year and was named by the New York Times as one of the top 100 ideas that shaped 2008.
